Notting Hill Carnival 2013 in West London
Thousands of revellers attended Europe's biggest street festival, the Notting Hill Carnival, over the Bank Holiday weekend in London to experience Caribbean culture; food, costumes, music and dance.
Once again the festival proved to be nothing short of a super-large uber-cool street party and everyone was invited! The festival-goers danced to giant sound-systems, expressed themselves creatively and...well, dressed up! The procession performers wore multi-coloured costumes, although some could be identified from the last year (naughty!), played steel drums and danced behind trucks which pumped out anything from reggae to dancehall, calypso to dub. The event was good fun, and the weather was ace!
