Let the voyage begin! The Route: Jaipur – Mumbai

It is the end of May. You are sightseeing in India, Rajasthan, Jaipur city. It is scorching hot. Your brain is getting crispier by the minute in that overheated Tandoor oven-like head of yours. You are downing litres of water and yet loosing gallons of it. The hot air you breathe in makes you gag for an ice cream in hope that it would cool down at least one of your pipes. The heat is diabolical.

Just then, in the far distance, you can spot a dark demonic veil. As sunrays fight to cut their way through, you can’t help but see a fine surgical slice of heavenly light breaking away from the overloaded sinking lead monsoon cloud. The sunrays then slowly disintegrate, the cloud keeps on rapidly growing, spreading, until eventually all distant objects get swallowed by the infinite darkness. We are getting ready to dive straight into it! The rain works as a highly effective natural cooling system and we are ready to embrace every bit of it.

Driving into the first rains of the Magic Monsoon

With the monsoon rains travelling through the South West of India and heading for the North, we compiled a nice road trip travelling the opposite direction - from Jaipur to Mumbai, giving you an opportunity to site see and stay at some of the top heritage hotels in India while undertaking your mission to collide into the first monsoon cloud of the season.
