The Blob Has Returned, Wear Something Slimy

My ex-boyfriend Dan had sent me an invitation to his Halloween house party. The invitation had read, 'The Blob has returned, wear something slimy!' He was a science fiction geek and based it on the 1950's film 'The Blob.' In the film, a meteorite hits the town and a jelly like creature emerges from the shell and terrorizes the town, eats people and grows in size!

I was surprised he had invited me because we had recently broken up. We had been going through a rough patch, and I had kissed one of his friends after too many tequila shots at a house party. He had found out and instantly broken it off. I missed him though and wanted to impress. Immediately I thought Lady Gaga, latex and fashion designer Atsuko Kudo! I loved going into the designers store down Holloway Road and marvelling at a couture latex design, daydreaming about strutting into a room wearing it and everyone’s mouth dropping. The only problem was it was way out of my price range. However one of my model friends Leila had recently been donated a green 'Love Cup Puff Sleeve Cat Suit,' from a shoot and she agreed I could wear it.

I felt awkward walking to his house on Halloween with my friend Leila. I looked super sexy but the latex felt tight on my thighs! His road was incredibly quiet as we walked down but I could hear a rustle behind us. I kept looking behind me and could see two figures walking in a scurried zig-zag slightly insane movement. Leila and I tried to make out whom they were but all I could see was a black fabric swaying around their body. I kept telling myself they were trick 'o' treaters, but they were following us and from the way they were walking they seemed just a little manic.

After a while, they disappeared and we were nearly at Dan's house, I felt a sense of relief. Just outside his house though I started to hear silly ghoul sounds and muffled laughter near-by.

Out of nowhere, I screamed in shock as thick, wet, cold slime hit me, poured over my head and dribbled down my green latex body! I fell on the floor and saw the two dark figures speed away in the corner of my eye.

Just then my ex-boyfriend opened the door and grinned, 'wow you've certainly made a slimy effort Claire!' Then he slammed the door in my face.

It all became suddenly clear that he had set me up. I walked home in shame covered in smelly, disgusting green slime. Leila was incredibly angry too muttering, 'I hope that hasn't ruined my Love Cup Puff Sleeve Cat Suit!'
