2011 marks the year that Cavo Paradiso won it's highest position to date in this years Top 100 Clubs poll coming in at an impressive number 10, as voted by the readers of one of the most important publications in the dance music industry, DJ Mag. Cavo Paradiso justifies its high place on the Top 100 Clubs list with its history, and future promise of providing an unforgettable experience for the thousands upon thousands of international clubbers who flock to the beautiful Greek Island of Mykonos every year.

A mind-blowing journey at Cavo Paradiso

This year Cavo Paradiso has been getting ready to up the game even more, building on the success of previous years by investing heavily towards a major renovation. A new and incredibly aesthetically pleasing roof has been built, which is complimented by a first-rate soundsystem. Guest artists will experience a brand new state of the art DJ booth specifically designed to take on the most demanding of set-ups and artists' technical riders. To top it all off, Cavo Paradiso has upgraded its lighting and visual installation using the latest technologies, giving the punters a visual dance floor experience as well as a sonic journey.

An army of builders, architects and technicians have been working around the clock, and this summer Cavo Paradiso is getting ready to catapult itself even higher up on the list of the marvels of the international clubbing scene.

To round it all off, this summer's event schedule is set to become the strongest in the clubs 17-year history. With exciting new residencies to add to the already impressive and diverse list of artists playing, which includes everyone from Ricardo Villalobos to Sander Van Doorn, and the return of legends such as Erick Morillo and debut appearances by Roger Sanchez. A carefully thought out and tailored season line-up brings a collection of world-renowned artists who are due to carve a piece of their own history in the rock foundations and celebrate a new age of Cavo Paradiso.

There is excitement in the air surrounding the beautiful Mediterranean Island of Mykonos, and especially at Cavo Paradiso headquarters, the legendary Greek club, which has just being voted as one of the top ten clubs in the world. Cavo Paradiso is ready for its best season to date and if the club’s CD compilation is anything to go by, then we are all in for a treat!

Italian DJ/producer, Davide Squillace – the creative force behind Cavo Paradiso 11 entitled Reconstructions.

Mixed and compiled by Italian DJ & producer, Davide Squillace, the title of this project has been heavily influenced by the major renovation that’s taking place at the club ready for 2011. The Hideout Records boss and Circo Loco resident has come up with a mix that oozes summer appeal, which on hearing it fills you with excitement and expectation for the forthcoming summer season.

A quick look at the track list proves that this sonic journey is full of uncompromising quality and underground ethos in a market saturated and dictated by formulas. Artists such as Osunlade, DOP and Isolee provide an earthy, organic soundtrack, which is implemented perfectly by the latest influences from the flourishing house and techno scene, by the likes of Cadenza‘s Reboot & Desolat‘s Guti amongst many others.

Davide, an expert on track selection, executes his mix with great precision and bags of finesse, using the brand new technology of the Traktor Kontrol S4 platform, and justifies why he is such a sought after DJ.
