Inspired by her Grandmother’s wardrobe, Dina Said (Egypt’s Designer of the Year 2010) has certainly taken the finest fashion from past decades and incorporated them into her brand 'Nana's Closet', which was launched in 2009.
This new beautiful collection takes a wonderful trip down memory lane, exhibiting the very best of cultured couture. The contrasting floating floor length dresses with the versatile and functional black & white polka dot patterns, the masculine block coloured stripes compare against the soothing autumn reds and nudes giving this collection the feel of timeless fashion.
These fine classics are then complimented with Said’s trademark embellishments giving the styles a unique chic feel; the heavy gold chains, quirky dickie bows, gold studs and the matchless floral embellishments make this collection vintage and yet stunningly modern.
The feminine feel of these sole pieces can be found in the layering, pleating and the ruffles, the feathering, the fading and burning colour patterns along with the simple and pure mature garment styles which subtly enhance and compliment the female silhouette. Simply adding the shouldered and stiff jacket as a powerful statement to the otherwise delicate fabric, she has truly produced the perfect compliment.
