Tosha Paints it Black at London Fashion Week

Tosha showcases AW2011/12 Collection

The Tosha AW2011/12 ‘Paint it Black’ collection showcased at Freemason’s Hall during London Fashion Week, February 2011. Tosha’s collection seductively fused sensual femininity with a dark and edgier look.

The troupe of pale skinned, towering models sauntered about the open floor in sky-scraping, dominatrix style, black patent heels. With heads held high and beautifully defined shoulders and long arms trailing behind, their posture held an eerie stance.

Hair slicked back into simple, sophisticated buns with sultry dark lipstick and razor sharp blusher transformed the models into vampy, provocative sirens, helplessly irresistible to any man.

The collection of skin tight party dresses looked as though they had been painted on in thick, black paint. Thigh-skimming lengths emphasized the legs and kept the all black collection youthful and fun. One shoulder looks were prevalent with deep cut bare backs as well as sportingly minimal vest shapes and sexy strapless styles. Large, tough looking industrial style zips added a hard edge and exquisitely clashed with the more romantic, structured ruffles that created fanciful volume and gave the mod, sultry silhouette a real showy dynamic. Tosha’s piece de resistance was a ruffled, one shoulder body-con mini dress with maxi length skirt at the back and exposed silver zip down one side. The squared-off cut from mini to maxi length optimizes the new minimal and encompassed the sharp and superbly effortless feel of the collection.
