Shawish Jewellery mark history

Imagine being present when the first Fabergé egg was presented... Well, Retox were first in line at the presentation of the world’s first ever ALL-diamond ring, which may be an equally historic event in the world of jewellery.

The great and good of the fashion glitterati were present for this unique event held on 14th April at one of the capital’s top award-winning venues, Il Bottaccio. London was selected as the first city to present this exclusive invitation-only event boasting a carefully tailored guest list of select audience including press, buyers and celebrity VIPs, all celebrating the first ever ring cut from a single stone.

This copyrighted 150-carat all-diamond ring - a diamond that makes it to the crown of a ring and goes all around your finger to form the ring itself - is made entirely from one, single faceted diamond and is expected to sell for £43million. Lets face it, if a guy is going to use it as an engagement ring, he’s got to be pretty sure the bride will turn up for the wedding! For comparison’s sake, Paris Hilton’s engagement ring only cost her £2million, though apparently she earned it! :p

Jokes aside, special lasers were used to cut into the diamond while ensuring that the integrity of the diamond was not compromised. Shawish have not only created a world's first, but also a diamond ring, which epitomises artistic talent, technical skill and reflects the company’s leading edge in the diamond industry.

The launch of the new Shawish jewellery collection

There were many enchanting pieces on display as part of the new collection produced by the luxury fine jewellery brand, Shawish. With such a diverse audience present, there was a wonderful range of contemporary and quirky designs to suit the younger and more daring generation, as well as more traditional pieces attracting the monocled eye of some of the grand ladies of the British society.

The Launch complete with a champagne reception, canapés, music and Shawish’s latest collection on display was topped off by a charity auction of two beautiful pieces of jewellery that were donated by friends of Shawish.

…And the arctic fairy contortionist

However, the cherry on the top was a 10-minute performance of the arctic fairy contortionist. At the end of the performance everyone stood in quiet awe as the contortionist took their bow.
