Sisters Reem and Hind Beljafla are the brainchild behind DAS Collection. The DAS mission is about setting out to update the abaya, a traditional Arabic cloak or kaftan style dress covering the entire body except the face, feet and hands. Reem and Hind found a niche, whereby after the pair began designing their own to wear to events and social engagements, before too long the sisters were taking orders from friends and family for their own. The girls quickly went from designing for friends to a profitable business, making the abaya a fashion statement whilst always respecting its heritage and traditions. With their designs they aim to empower the women who wear them, giving them confidence and enabling them to be both stylish and conservative at the same time.

The DAS SS13 collection fuses Middle Eastern and Indian style to create a variety of luxurious opulent and decadent looks. The use of rich bold colours, extravagantly textured fabrics and embroidered Arabic calligraphy lends a luxuriously international feel to the collection taking inspiration from high society Dubai and Mumbai. A stunning collection with powerful soundtrack to boot, the sisters had encapsulated the luxury high society, powerful women vision perfectly. Sleek hair pulled into high fishtail braids were complimented by opulent chandelier Middle Eastern style heavily bejeweled earrings.
