Why Visit Hungary

Hungary is a hot destination right now as it is affordable, beautiful and rich in culture.

A Rich Local Cuisine

Hungarian cuisine is delicious and varied that includes soups, amazing signature style paprika-laced stews like the world-famous Goulash – a Hungarian national dish, and delicious tortes and cakes, among other things. Hungarians also make their own wines including full-bodied wines and sweet dessert wines, and you can find many vineyards and wineries that offer wine-tasting tours.

In Hungary you will be able to take your palate on an exciting and lasting food and beverage tasting journey and collect yet another memorable experience that you can add to your list of savoured world’s cuisines.

Sightseeing

A lot of natural and unspoilt beauty that Hungary offers is another reason to visit the country. National parks, caves, thermal baths, the countryside, and of course Hungary’s small quaint villages are all great things to see and explore.

In Hungary you can go wild-swimming and have a low-cost nature-filled day out during the months when the weather is nice. Gyogy-to (thermal lake) of Heviz is very popular as the water stays warm around 30 degrees Celsius due to the hot springs emerging from beneath the ground. Lake Balaton is another popular destination for wild swimming in Hungary.

Castle enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice in Hungary where visitors can find a generous choice of well-preserved castles to visit, many of them set against dramatic scenery.

Affordable Prices

Budapest is relatively cheap compared to many other European cities and it gets even cheaper outside of Budapest and in smaller towns.

In the local pubs of Budapest you can generally expect to pay just over one British pound (£) for a late or a pint of domestic beer. That’s significantly cheaper when compared to London prices.

In Hungary you will find many sightseeing locations charge a nominal entry fee, and some are even free.
