Veganism on the rise.
Ever thought about what it would be like to live on products only produced by plants? No? I wouldn't have thought so.
The vegan diet is a fairly old sensation suddenly becoming very popular with new ranges of products being discovered by young, ditzy, health obsessed humans such as myself with also the help of many companies and brands introducing vegan alternatives to their audiences. The Vegan Society has created a webpage with high quality and reliable information and advice about being vegan with a high range of vegan recipes that are not only easy but also very quick to create.
With a large variety of products such as dairy free milk (sounds pretty odd but adding a small amount of almond milk in your Cheerios every morning gives you a more interesting breakfast to look forward to) and with other alternatives to meat, butter and cheese, you can create your regular Sunday dinner without any hassle, the only difference is the health benefits and its cruelty free.
Just like vegetarians help reduce animal cruelty, health risks within yourselves and even help the environment, veganism just takes all of this a little further.
By becoming vegan you will be saving many animals such as cattle that are exploited and made to suffer for dairy production, even those that are organic and free range. Chickens and hens are forced into outrageous battery cages with no more than an inch of room for any of them, this causes a lot of illnesses to spread among them, causing unnecessary pain and cruelty, the free range system has helped to solve this issue however, male birds are useless in this process and are slaughtered even in the free range care. Honey bees are exploited and prone to illnesses due to the intensive production, therefore the only way to protect these animals from this kind of harm is to help stop the farming of these animals from happening.
Being male or female, everyone wants to feel good not only on the outside but also on the inside too; there are so many health benefits from becoming vegan that can help you save yourself. Its helps to clear your skin and make your hair healthier with all of the nutrients you gain from this diet, with all of the unprocessed food the extra vitamins, minerals and other vital nutrients reach your body. When you cut out animal fats, dairy and processed food, you will be able to lose weight easily but still keep yourself in a perfect, healthy shape. As most saturated and animal fats can allow you to feel bloated and well, quite sluggish you will instantly have more energy and feel so much better with lowered blood pressure and much lowered cholesterol making you happier and giving yourself an ultra confidence boost! There is also word that you will live longer, not quite an immortal life but close enough.
Saving the planet is one of the most talked about and one of the most important issues needed to be solved urgently, believe it or not being vegan can help. By swapping your regular meat or fish with plant based alternatives you can reduce your carbon footprint as livestock production causes greenhouse gases and a lot of pollution, it causes most of the Amazon deforestation which is a huge issue for the environment.
Know what to look out for; looking for vegan alternatives is harder than you think as mot products may not be clearly labeled. Not all meat free products are vegan either as some contain egg and traces of milk.
If you look in the right places you will discover a whole variety of cruelty free products from chocolate to cosmetics! The list is endless but you need to be dedicated and willing to give up your usual KFC for a healthier tofu salad but remember the end result will be worth it.
So how about you give it a go, one day veganism could actually save the world! Well, probably not, but if you do ever have to face a bunch of zombies chasing you, at least you would be healthy enough to run for your life...literally.
